Someone with a matching ethno-national match will have higher expectation placed on them to talk for everyone when they write, but they also get some extra leeway when they do, and when they experiment with the culture or criticise it. ![]() People who're long time diaspora in that nation, or people who've been born into it but aren't of a dominant ethnicity are seemingly always considered less authentic and quicker to be considered disrespectful, even if they are deeply tied to the culture. Not sure of ethnonationalist is even the right word, just seems to get the vibe of ethnic purity of a nationality or w/e when writing. ![]() It has some lowkey ethnonationalist vibes, where someone who's of the matching ethnicity and nationality is considered the only really valid option for cultural own voice.
